Taxi Wali is a hybrid live-action film with moments of 2D animation.

It is the story of a female taxi driver from Tamil Nadu who disguises her gender to survive in the city of Bangalore. The film follows her journey through a series of intimate encounters with passengers, as she comes to confront her gender and identity.

Initiated by students, working with the people of Bangalore, this film has been made possible through crowdfunding. It took us two months to garner the support we needed to launch this film into production. We are currently in the production stage.
